Heading to Bali next year and was wondering what its like in Mar?

Lots of breezers go there so dont want to reinvent the wheel.

Any pointers on accommodation, best airlines, hiring SUPS etc

Virgin Australia were great to me and the cheapest at the time.
I took my board so no need to hire, wouldn't you take your own stuff Phil?

Bingin was fun/relaxing/cheap and pretty central to all those quality breaks but my
next trip will be spent moving around I rekon. G Land, Medawi and a little bit around
Bingin to start off.

Air Asia definately. Didn't even blink at the 10x34 Whopper.
Contact Pete at SupBali, top bloke. Check out Magicseaweed for swell reports.
Hire a driver for day trips and take your own tie downs.

Phil, don't know if they fly from Melbourne but we went with Strategic who were great, took a short board and SUP and it wasn't any dramas. We have a driver who has roof racks suitable for SUPS (took them over for him) and will also give you a really good insight into Bali as well, if want the contact for him just PM me. As for time of year, it's probably start of change over but hopefully you would get plenty of glassy mornings. Coast up around Canngu / Echo Beach has plenty of uncrowded peaks wind permitting.

Yeah probably a good way to do it.

Virgin flew direct when I was there last year but heard a rumour this has stopped.
Not hard to check, I'm just a lazy!

Hi OG
March is definitely other side ..lol .. as Jenkie pointed out Sanure , Nusa Dua etc ..

Great time of the year & great SUP waves on the east coast..

Take a look at Agoda.com & try to see if you can get a deal staying at Ayoda Hotel which is the old Bali Hilton..

It puts you on the sand at the mouth of a keyhole to paddle out from ..

Check out the current SUP WORLD mag for some pics & a little spool about waves we scored this year exactly around the time you are thinking..

Please ask away happy to help you get some things sorted & most definitely be stoked to hook up & enjoy some paddle days with you for sure.

Jenkie has posted a list of rental SUPs he has available or you can email me on suppete@me.com for more info as I tend to change what I have available all the time so best to keep in touch so we can be sure we have something to suit if Jenkie's list doesnt ?

Heres a little picture to get you stoked on planning the trip ..

Cheers Pete
