great shots John...good to finish off with Chucky getting swallowed whole by that shorey...testing day but great success. That shot of Stevey (I think it is) with the set's stacked to the horizon says it all for the racers yesterday
How good is Beau, flies down, takes the win, then flies up and drives to maroochy for the 10km flat race the next day... and wins that too!
It was unreal having all of the Qld crew down here. It just adds to the total calibre of talent competing. There were so many good guys it was great to watch. The young guys - Jake and Toby Cracknell from the Central Coast have really made things interesting.
Hey Johnny, Fantastic shots of the day. I'm so glad they still held it at Collaroy with the size of the conditions. It wouldn't have been a "Battle" otherwise.
Us QLD'ers had a ball. All the competitors were awesome and new friendships were made. It was great to be part of!
As you said mate, these young guys are the future chmapions of the sport. But the skills and determination of everyone who competed should be commended. Seriously tough conditions but super fun.
Well done to Fi, Dale, Sam and the event crew. Hats off to a very professional and well organised event and more importantly, the reason why this race was held. Amazing donations of around $26,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research!! Well done to everyone!
Looking forward to next year!
