Hey mikeman.. re..
Hi Mike,
Picked this MTI Adventurewear Eddy up from Goodtime today. Comes with a 2 ltr hydration pack. Doesn't interfere with paddling and the hydration sipper has a magnet which holds it in the perfect position for drinking without handling it. Very comfortable.

Thanks for the pics Jim.. Just one thing.. RELAX .. .. and welcome to the Breeze..
How much was it.. and what are you paddling?

I'm with ramborooc1 on the bum bag pfd's - there great for getting around a PFD requirement for a race - but there pretty much useless when you really need them as you have to physically take them out of the pack, put them on and then activate or blow them up, which is pretty hard to do injured or tired.
Gas inflated PFD's are good - but you have to take care of them and service them or they won't work.
I just took my new Ultra Trek for a two hour run and found it very comfortable, in fact I didn't give it a second thought after a few minutes paddling. (for the test paddle I only packed a small bottle of water, no bladder or any other items) The Trek has an assortment of well thought out storage pockets.
The Ultra Trek cost me $130, and it is the next model up from the Ultra Pinnacle which is about $20 less.
Old mate at the shop knew his stuff and explained that correct fitment is necessary and getting the right size is important.
The only issue I could foresee is although its a minimal design it still may be a little hot in summer, but this would be the case with any PFD of this style.
Hope this helps, Cheers
Thanks DJ, Relax! Do you know how nerve racking your first post on Seabreeze can be!LOL. 14ft Naish Glide - Transitioning from Manly boat harbour to outside - interesting!
