Dont forget a job as well

Congrads on the DC 16 Belly. I have just got to bite the bullet and get a 16/17 footer otherwise I will never catch you.

OH yeh.... A job might be handy haha But im getting so much surfing in at the moment

Reagan my thought was to get the 16.. So other people can try it then decide whether to get one themselves I wont race it if every one else is on 12.6 and unders..

i dont get anywhere near big red as the missus has claimed it as her board(she just loves that sh1t hot deck grip you wacked on it)

i've taken it out for a few small sessions using the quad set up

it seams the drift around a bit while paddling but feels nice on a long fat wall

a pretty pink pointer does sound nice tho

Yeah the 17' has been moved back a bit till summer. Got a JL 9-9 Mano for up north this winter so I don't get mown down so often. The missus is cool with me upgrading to a 17' as long as she can upgrade the bed to a kingsize. Win ,win if you ask me..

Andrew, thanks for the update, must say i'm keen to see them in the flesh. So many boards so little time, and err money as a side note to my body surfing disaster just paid $2750 yesterday for my implant surgery. Painfull op and painfull in the pocket and still have to pay for a bridge and crown to boot DOH, worse still,no time in the water is the hardest to put up with.

Thanks Andrew, what colours are you going to be running?

AA,do they all come with a coloured bottom and rails? or can you get plain wood veneer all over?

Hilly's right. The rails only are colored. Wood Veneer top and bottom.

Lots of colors! The main ones being Red, White, Blue, Aqua, Yellow

Mainly in Wide Rippers-

8-6 WideRip WOOD VENEER 8'6" x 30" x 4 1/4"
9-2 WideRip WOOD VENEER 9'2" x 29 5/8" x 4 1/4"
9-11 WideRip WOOD VENEER 9'11" x 31" x 4 3/8"

10-6 GUN Rip WOOD VENEER 10'6" x 28 1/2" x 4 5/16"

9' WAA WOOD VENEER 9' x 29" x 4 1/8"

The 9'WAA will be an interesting update of the 92AA which is a much loved board.

That's 806 Comp Weight Ripper is the one I like the specs on. If only someone would buy my 903 Ripper.....

On the veneers-has there been any feedback on repairing them? I'd think that might quickly bugger the aesthetics of a wood veneer (nice as they look) and be an expensive repair.

I have had a few woody surfboards over the years, repairs are pretty much the same, some of the minor ones you can reuse the veneer others you may have to cut in new timber or use a wood putty. In minor dents you can sometimes pull the dent out with the vacuum and inject epoxy in behind In major repairs like a broken/creased board you can use a cloth/print/spray band or line to hide the repair.

I knocked in a future fin box on my woodie on the weekend and the repairers will have to do a spray around the box as they dont do clear work, so I am getting the other side sprayed to match.

Cheers

GOODLUCK with the re-construction Rodriguez!

As for WOOD REPAIRS, the Hawaiin's managed to run over a few Mal riders at the Noosa comp on my 9'2 Wide Ripper woody- thats what happens when you purposely get in the way! Repairs are easy to hide with wood due to its 'natural' irregular look. Straight Epoxy has a yellow tinge so it blended in nicely. Not perfect, but looks fine.

On the flip side you have problems with solid colors with color matching, so it goes both ways.

I like both the 10 6's

Would be interesting to see the rippers some of these look a little fat for my taste. Can't wait to get my hands on the 10 6 gun
