Any of you goldy boys get out at the alley Sunday.I went out early and managed to catch two of the biggest waves i have ever ridden on a sup it was hard going though in the wind and their where heaps of prone guys out so i was pretty wary of not dropping in or geting caught on the inside , which did happen a couple of times.
Hey teatree,
Since it was way to oversized for me, i did some fliming of the boys. You must have just left.
Both my batteries were pretty flat but i did manage to get some nice footage of them. See if i can manage to get it up loaded today.
X angie
that would be cool , yeah i was coming in and i seen Jake , paul heading out.It was really starting to blow hard by then , did they manage to catch a few?
Overall it was good fun it was probably a bit big for me to but i thought what the heck , no harm in trying.Seen a whale only a few hundred meters away too that was awesome.
Cheers
Andrew
Yeh andrew we got a fair share of waves,
We surfed for 7 hours yesterday.
Ill be heading down soon Angie catch ya there.
looks great
swell down the coast was massive in the morning sunday paddled out to a local spot about 1.5km from the beach as i neared the peak i noticed how big it really was
paddled for the first wave miss timed it and nearly went over the falls
which totally freaked me out for the rest of the surf got some big drops and fat walls and watched some amazing waves wish i had a jet ski
got some footage shot by a mate but windows movie maker wont capture it from the camera dont know whats going on(so want to smash it)
didnt get any nice ones on film but got one massive set that i had to dive under
thought i was gonna die looks crazy when you pause it just before i jump
wind came up at 10am making it lumpy
this morning the swell had dropped a bit but still big but lumpy
decided to chicken out and spend a day with the family
Nice vid Anjie looks like the boys caught some nice ones , looks a bit smaller than it was when i was out their.(HA,HA).Loved the back drop of all the high rises and burleigh hill looks huge in the background.Unfortumately i only get to surf on the weekends.
yeah it was a good day just average in the morning and then the arvo turned it on with the swell pulsing a bit more and some solid sets coming thru, the crowed thinned out for about 2 hours just after lunch and the SUP's took over with some crazy long rides just ask Jake.
Sick day hope we get another one soon.
Paul
Jez I would hate to be hit by a stray sup. Maybe its the camera angle but it looks crowded as usual?
Good to see Dover Senior's new board off the repair racks and back in the water .... including this arvo's session how many surfs is that accident free??? Think that board needs Workers Comp cover !!!!!!!!!!!
Great filming Angie, might have to wear a steamer down here but would have the uncrowded waves down here were i live compared to that ****fight anyday, seen some blatant dropins right there.
Wow, that's kewl, kooky and compelling viewing. Must get the adrenalin going to maneuver the big boards through that huge surf while dodging all those pesky humans bobbing up and down in your path. Come to think of it, it would get the adrenalin going just being a pesky human bobbing up and down in that swell.
This arvo was a lot smaller than yesterday, but still some nice fun long rides on the incoming tide.
Surfed it untill dark ..can't think of a better way to finish the day.Waz
