I nearly choked on my corn flakes this morning with laughter.

Mate, I read his comments before I pressed play so i was prepared for something special. But nothing prepared me for that bloke. As Jacko said "are you taking the piss ?". The scary thing is I'm not sure if he is taking the piss or fair dinkum.

ok, everyone has had their fun, but it's his first post, maybe his stoke is a bit miss directed or what ever.

but i'm feeling bit uncomfortable and embarrassed now- how would you feel if you were him

I take your point and gave it some thought. I watched it one more time and to be honest I laughed even harder. Regardless of 1st post, it's stand up paddle NOT sit on a rubber block like I'm taken a dump paddle.

yeah, i wouldn't do it, but a little seat ,not the dump style, and a kayak paddle for an emergency isn't that silly.
i remember getting caught out about 3ks or so out with a south swell, a foot and half off shore chop and wind to match just smashing me on a big board with big volume up the front- i could not make any headway on that board standing up

i was directly out to where i had to get in. i had to push the rudder pedal right over with my knee and had the paddle straight sideways as wide as i could go. even then i got flipped a few times

two and half k's of the toughest paddling on one side i've ever had to do.

i would have gladly sat on a little seat with a kayak paddle.

the ocean can be a pretty mean place to be
cheers

It's a good idea. Get yourself one of those six pack foam eskies. Fill it up. Plonk it on your board. Sit on it. Bob's your uncle. Dunno about the double-ended paddle.

Hi Lacey
From the posts I've read of yours over the last 2 years Lacey. I'd have to say Lacey and Kajgyr are related Like Jacko would say I'm sorry but are you taking the piss But I really do enjoy reading everyone of your post Lacey very entertaining laughter (Help Me Please Mr Wizard)
Like a kneeboard surfer they almost have it, its only a jump and they'd be on there feet.
PS: How good has the surf been on the Goldy the last 2 weeks PUMPING
