Hi Guys,
You may remember a few crew down here ran a paddle last year to raise some money for a local family who's Dad (local surfer and great guy) got injured in a surfing accident and was left paralysed. It was a huge success, got 170 paddlers there and raised over $8K.
Sadly, 4-5 weeks post the paddle Pete got a serious infection and passed away. I am meeting up with his Daughter on the weekend as she wants to talk about doing an annual memorial paddle to raise money for spinal injury awareness and also a selected local cause.
The reason for the post is two fold. Firstly, to ask for support in whatever way the breeze community can offer, and also when the dates come out, I would love to get a larger turn out than last year.
