Not many people intersested in "paddling for the planet" A pity really 'cause its all about love for your environment & our planet & even our neighbours
If Jarod from Peak Adventures can marshal some OC, surf ski and kayakers, and Ben can bring along his prone paddleboard buddies, we should be able to pull a decent multi discipline crew.
Thanks for the prompt DJ.
I'll head up an RPS inititative from HMB along with the crew from the HMB slsc and the usual regulars.
Perhaps we could invite all of the Sup Vic crew to partake at various locations around the bay.
Sounds like a great idea.
I'm not sure how we should do this but if we can get a LOT of crew together from all
types of craft I'm sure we could get some media exposure for SUP and the Paddle.
Do you think if I paddle for the planet it would be ok if I leave the heater on at home. I'm guessing it will be freezing in the bay and I don't really want to catch a cold?
I've organised the following paddle from my usual haunt.
Feel free to inform anyone you may know that paddles any type of craft about the day. Here's a few details to date.

Great work guys.
We'll be firing up a P4P paddle from St Kilda Seabaths at 9am. Weather permitting we'll be paddling towards Sandbar (Middle Park) and meeting up with the Peak Adventure P4P Crew that will be leaving from Sandridge (Port Melbourne) and meeting us on the water.
Bring a few dollars for a coffee if you're keen.
If you don't have a board you can hire one for $5.00 with all proceeds going to Earthcare St Kilda who do a fantastic job in our local area.
Drop us a quick line at info@supb.com.au to let us know if you're coming along and if you plan on hiring a board on the day.
See you down there!
The RPS/Sup Vic Paddle for the Planet Session
At this stage the early, long range forecast is as follows.
Metropolitan areaCloudy. Patchy rain. Winds north to northwesterly averaging up to 35 km/h increasing to 35 to 45 km/h during the afternoon.
With the wind forecast to increase early, I'm suggesting that crew who are interested in paddling still meet at Half Moon Bay, but do so at 9am rather than 10am.
This may give us the chance to paddle before the wind picks up too much or in the event that the conditions are unsuitable, change the location [ ie:Mentone] or the format.
Stay Tuned!
