Don't be fooled by their friendly attitude in calm water as soon as the surf picks up they'll drop in on ya all day.

they have no surf etiquette at all, and shortboarders think supers are bad

Was out at Crescent Head point on Sunday when some humpbacks surfaced just off the end of the point. Then one of the juveniles started slapping the water with his tail - would have been no more than 200 meters away. Being on a SUP, I caught the whole show.

No whale pics, but here is a shot of the fun clean wave with only 4 of us out. Gotta love winter.

We had a great paddle with the dolphins the other week. Had the iPhone in a waterproof pack and took this little bit of footage. The girls were having their first ever go at SUP and had only been on the water for 5 minutes before these guys came and joined us. They hung around for about 15 minutes!

Something about dolphins: they just put a smile on your face that lasts all day!

Paddling with Dolphins is the best!!
Its soooo much better than watching the Mighty Sainters play in the AFL Finals.. (at least for the past 45 years anyway!)
