I am not in pain it's just that I fell twice and my non neoprene gloves were super slippery. On the pic I am just try hard for the board not to drop on the ground!
I missed the start by 200mtr... (I know I could believe it!) but got 8th at the end. I was really worth it because I don't think they'll do it again.
As soon as you paddle you are not cold it's just before the start and after thre finish line
We even had some anti terrorist brigade following us all the way in case one of the paddler would have had the idea to let himself explode with a bomb under a paris bridge. You would have loved it!

But the cool thing is that we had gps gtrackers on us so you could follow the race live. Or you can even replay it now and if you choose fast forward you can see the all thing in 5 mn. Just go to geolive on this link

What a cool feature the GPS things. Funny before the race, everyone just walking around on the bank. I fast forwarded a bit and they were half finished.

And we are still using paper and pens to record races here in Australia???

you have to change the zoom on the timeline because it is set up for 1 hour originally so with the prerace you don't get all the race but if you move the zoom to get 2hours you'll be able to watch all the race
You have to cilck on the magnifier next to the time line (left) and then the windows with timeline zoom level pops up
no more pens mate

Loved the footage. What an amazing experience for you. Must have been quite cold. I did this route mid winter on a barge a few yrs ago and was well rugged up! Why do you think it will be a singular event? Just curious.
