I was down at the beach with surf4fun and bumped into greeny and started chatting about boards. We spoke about what would make up the perfect 2 board quiver that would cater for surfing, general cruising as well as down wind paddling. Has anyone come up with a 2 board quiver that allows them to do all aspects of sup?

I'm thinking my 9'x30" Snow for surf and maybe in the future a 12'6x30" downwind racer with a surf tail so I can ride tiddlers or paddle out to bommies or surf more comfortably on blowy choppy sloppy days.

i was thinking about tiddler, bombie, dw board part. the board that travis had for the doctor race is actually a pretty good surfer for it's d/w pedigree

Do you know what the width of the DC 12'6" is?

Dont know the width of the board Travis was using but I think the DC 12'6 is made to different dimensions to individual choices.

My 2 board quiver would be SB 9'0" stinger sport tech for surf and the 12'0" glide for general/downwinder.

At the moment 12 PSH and 9'5 Mana works pretty good.

12' PSH Gun and 9-3 Subvector for now. Maybe sell the SV for an 8-10 Naish or the like.

I know this is against all policies known and unknown, foreign and domestic, BUT...... the 12' PSH gun is the shnizzit! took a little while but I can now regularly find the "sweet spot" and I'm having so much fun with this board! can't see myself selling this one anytime soon.

the board used to be just wrong's. he's a bigger lad, so the board is , i think 28.5. i owned for a bit, i thought it was one of the better dc12'6 ,s around.travis and myself did a short run on it and the board danny rode in the king of the coast so he could decide on a board. the king board would be travis's pick for flatter conditions, but for the doctor race he went with the blue deck board, it paddles very well in all conditions
cheers

2 weeks ago I would have said 10' Mana & 12' Glide.

After trialing some of the Star-board stock, I've moved both the Naish's on and at the moment my 2 board quiver is 10' Whopper & 12'6 Cruiser.

Definately had flat water and a not so serious DW covered as well as beach breaks and quality waves up to 6 foot covered IMO.

I am also adding the 'Big Easy' to these 2 just to give me some length and width for another option.

Those 2 starboards were an option I was considering. I'm about 82 kg's and 188cm, how do you think the whopper go for someone my size?
