That would be a good run, especially if you go out through the breakwall as it would through you out a bit further so it is more of a point to point.

Hillary's to Mullaloo Sunday @2. If it is good and a quick run maybe we can get two in.

I'd love to but could only do earlier rather than later as I would need to be home by 3.

Nice...

hey what boards are you guys using for these downwinders, I know hilly has the 14' glide,

Could I try one on a 10'11" surf sup or am I wasting my time ?

I did my first ever dw on a 10' South Point Bonga Perkins, probably one of the least stable boards on the market. At the moment i am using a 11'2 Starbord while my fund for a 14' grows bigger. You can do it on anything but the experience and fun factor will be different.

I do them on my DC 16 and my mate on my 12.6 JL.. I'd personly say your wasteing your time on anything much less then 12 foot ish.. I used to do them on my 10.5 starboard but Im pretty light and it certainly wasn't ideal..

I have been using my sons 12 glide and have a 14 coming from Santa
The 12 is not bad but the 14 is quicker. We did Santracks to Swanie last week on that really windy day and I had Ross's 14 from Scab Longboards (son works there). We swapped half way through and who ever was on the 14 pulled away

How did it go this arvo?
I went for a windsurf for a few hours this arvo and was driving out of the carpark when I saw Belly drive in with about 3 or 4 boards on the roof.

Hey Greenie.. You'll have to get yourself a 14' SurfRace.. I had a great time the other day when Jonathan and I swapped boards (I was on the 14' Coreban).

On a Sunday??

Wind was light. Very nice easy paddle, the 14 worked real well. Belly not happy on the 16 with a hangover.

Good to get 5 on the run. Tim and Nathan did it earlier as well so 7 all up most I have seen doing a dw run in Perth.

Would love to but not sure there is anywhere to start.. it's all rocks as far as I know.. That's why we normally do port beach to floret.. I could be wrong, certainly have been before..

There is a disabled fisher's access ramp at at the end of north mole (across from the toilet block), divers use it to access the water and wreck site a couple 100m off the rockwall. Not sure of its suitability to get your board's in the water, but worth a look/go...

Best to paddle out from Sandtrax in the lee of the rockwall and then head north. I know the ramp you are talking about Shunter. Could be a bit risky with 20+ knots screaming over the mole and trying to carry your board amongst the rocks.

What time you thinking?

We did Hillarys Marina to Ocean Reef last night. I don't like that run as much because a third of the distance seems to be fighting to get around Pinaroo Pt

I was thinking around 4

and was going to check out the ramp for access - it fairly steep but you see kids running all over no worries

Hi Shep

Me and Hilly are going to do a Mullaloo run due to time constraints and both live NOR. If you are interested meeting us, we will be at the end Mullaloo carpark at 4. We did a Santrax to Swanie last night, wind was a bit light but always good to get in the water

I was keen on doing a longer run but if there arent any takers, I'll join you guys at Mullaloo
