With just over a week to go until the QLD Sup titles, we're starting to get a picture of what conditions we might be in for. If the forecast is right, Saturday's race could be interesting getting out at Snapper on race boards in 10-11ft!!! Could be a repeat of the Honolua race 4 years ago!
On the positive side, looks like we'll get some waves for the surfing on Sunday/Monday and some carnage in the technical surf race!

12 Towers times 2!!!! Double Wendts is looking like an option?
Forecast is only about 50% certain at the moment, but i'm pretty sure it's not going to be flat!

Interesting convergance of Data.

Magic Seaweed? above says South Winds and South swell. Wind Guru says East Swell and East wind for the same day, Thursday beforehand.

Gotta love how different computer models can get such different answers! (Makes me doubt the reliability of anything I do at work on a daily basis!!!)

Seabreeze is predicting 18ft on Wednesday while MagicSeaweed is peaking at 7.5ft. I guess that's why it's just a forecast, but will be interesting to see what happens with the East Coast Low over the next week.

speaking of the qld titles. those doing the qualifying distance race which means a paddle up the creek to get the lenght of k's needed, are you going to change from your ocean boards to flatwater boards in the creek mouth

is there any rule to stop you doing that

You would think it would be frowned upon , may need to do it anyway if the predictions are right might be a few coming in , in two pieces

Both sites I checked have the swell as being really south which means only a fraction of it will get into the southern Gold Coast. Fresh South winds and a south swell should mean some good down wind conditions at least for the Tugun to Currumbin stretch. I'm with Lacey, anything in the rules that says you can't swap boards??

i'm would be in the unlimited over 40 y class so it just a paddle up to the thrower bridge- not worth changing.

but if your going in it to go to the aussies and that means up to wendts and back or close to it well is there a rule to stop you changing boards at the creek mouth
