Has anyone used one of these, are they worth the dollars (currently $500 on the website)

Found on the family holiday that the walk from the campsite to the water with 2 sups was a chore, and walking back after SUP was the last thing I wanted to do.

But way to short to justify strapping to the roof of the ute

Any comments appreciated

Greg

Yeah I use mine every family holiday to get from holiday house to water. With 12'6" and 14' boards, it's a godsend.

To be honest I have been thinking of one over Xmas hols as my arm was killing and had a few too many rests between surf and van. But $500 bucks ? That's 1/5th of my Next Sup - DC14.
Any cheaper ones ? And would they get knocked off easy when surfing ?

mine breaks down in secs and i just put the bike lock through the wheels...i only surf early,so i could leave it on the beach...as i couldnt imagine seeing to many 70yo walkers pinching it and doing the bolt

I have a quiver kaddy, use it all the time to walk the 800m to the local, lock it up with a bike lock. Also use it a bit to take the Kids boards, towels, mask and snorkles, boogie boards, frisbees, cricket sets, lunch esky...... etc etc to the beach.. Good bit of kit I picked mine up from a surf shop for way less than $500. I can also tow behind bike and it will get a bit of use taking the nippers boards down to surfclub in the commig weeks.

You can build a similar thing to the mule from a bunnings $30 trolley... thats what I would do next.

Every time i get out of the water i feel like my board has taken on water . It is all ways twice as heavy on the way home. I am worried some one will steal it while i am out surfing.

I've had my Quiver Kaddy for many years now and it has been worth every cent. I don't use it behind a bike so don't know how they go with them.

We use our quiver kaddy all the time. Fits 3 SUPs easy. Makes the 500m walk to Caves Beach bearable. Also room for wetties, towels etc in the bottom & paddles down the middle. Luv it to bits & as someone already said, Quiver Kaddy is sponsoring/supporting quite a few SUP events. Also comes with a bike extension for carrying longer sups behind the bike (one in pic is only 8'11" so we didn't use the extension).
Whole trolly folds down to fit into boot of car etc & only takes about 3 minutes to put back up. Can also have wheels removed to fit in a back pack.

yes i bought mine through an aussie mob. yes it comes with everything you need, straps and wot not. the main reason i like the mule over others is that the board is flat so i have no wind issues. plus i can pack it up in under a minute and can pack it into a small carry bag, i never do. about a minute to have my board in and riding away

hi mate

the quiver caddy looks the goods, but for $500 i dont think so, i'd rather put that towards a new board, i use one of these
http://www.supgearaustralia.com/shop/index.php?product=SUPC&c=106
works great, it also works on both my boards 9'11dtm and a 17foot glide

Jarryd

Bought one of those, broke on the first trip to the beach luckily over grass and was somewhat hanging on the the board, soft landing.

Get one of these from Supacheap for $25 and chop off the blade with an angle grinder. Attach the board(s) using those elastic straps and you are done. You can put some protective / soft material on the metal frame if you need. Use some duct tape to keep it in place. Cheap, nasty and effective. Alternatively just use the axel and wheels and build your own.

Bike lock to act as a deterrent but not many people would find much use with a sawn off trolley!!
