All event prizes are distributed via participant raffles allowing all entrants the opportunity to win.
Come join the fun and take the rare opportunity for the weekend paddlers amongst us to paddle with some of the elite names in the paddling/sporting community.

Is it only PFD's that are required? Thought Manly Daily mentioned something about flares being required but is that for a different series?
Any suggestions on a good type & brand of PFD?
This is certainly going to be a great race for SUP. Just caught up with Pete from SIC and he's donating a 14 foot SIC for the SUP competitors as a lucky draw prize. Every SUP entrant has a chance to win. Sounds like an awesome board. Have a look at the vid on the Reef To Reef web site to view a review.
Lots of prizes for all the competitors with heaps of safety support and plenty of other paddlers around. A good chance to try all of those new boards in the ocean.
The race will be run either direction based on prevailing wind conditions on the day.
On line entries are open.
I registered a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not able to race now. Anyone know if its possible for me to transfer my entry fee over to another paddler?
HI all, is anyone else trying to workout the logistics of car at the start and board and body at the finish? I will be driving, on the day, from Avalon and am looking to team up with someone so we can take a vehicle (& boards) to the start and have a 2nd vehicle at the finish ready to travel back to pick up the 1st car.
I can take 1 extra board on the roof racks (could add 2 more boards if I bring the trailer)

Important information for All Reef2Reef paddlers.
There has been a late directive from our insurance that all paddlers must now wear PINK High Visibility tops. This will need to be over your PFD???s.
This is a requirement that we will need to adhere to and will have to enforce.
We would greatly appreciate all paddlers who have PINK High Visibility tops to bring them and wear them on Sunday. Current Ocean Series tops are acceptable.
We will have some tops available to loan for the paddlers who don???t have one - but the supply is limited!!
In the spirit of the Reef2Reef Ocean Fun paddle if you have multiple pink vests could you bring them to loan to those who don???t have one? Please ensure your name is clearly marked.

Ah just a question, driving up from Canberra on the day, if I get there and there is no Pink Hi Vis top, what happens then. I have been to the surf shops and outdoor stores in Canberra and no one has one, so sort of wondering what may happen.
Ok Guys, I have literally been all over Canberra looking for said Hi Vis top including the work wear shops. According to said work wear shops Pink HI Vis does not meet australian standards and as such is not sold. The nearest thing I can find is a womans singlet, however, because of my ............. generous proportions, there is no way known that the biggest size will fit a PFD under it.
So I think we kinda need either a question asked of the insurer, or that we can rely on the supply of these Pink tops from you guys, or a relaxation in the rules. I have a bright red top that would work a treat.
Hey Guys, spoke to event organisers and whilst they would prefer you to have a pink high vis rashie you will not be stopped from racing with an alternate top. I'm going to bring some backups and if other guys do also that would be great.
The organisers do from what I've been told have a certain number of pink tops but entries are high and they will run out.
Nicer news is that the wind is starting to look like it is locking in better from the N meaning they will definitely run from Newport to Collaroy Basin. Going to a fun run I think!
Sam.
Just wanted to say thanks for all of your cooperation and help in a difficult situation regarding the Pink tops.
Just to give you some idea of the circumstances, they changed the goal posts 3 days out from the event from what they originally told us. It actually took me until 9am on Sunday morning to get them to agree to conditions that would allow the paddle to go ahead. Sorry to all for the stuff around. Hope everyone had a great day.
Best event guys thank you so much for putting it on and being so organised. I am really committed to coming back next year and actually finishing the run.
