Here is the Starboard link for you Brooko.http://www.star-board-sup.com/2008/products/sup098.php
And here is my review on the Starboard 9'8.

Here are some photos (from every possible angle) of the Starboard 9'0 in my weedy backyard with no grass
Well... the moons have aligned and a shortboard SUP has been created
I thought that the Starboard 9'8 was the bees knees until I tried the 9'0.
It paddled and surfed just like the 9'8 except twice as loose and twice as easy to throw around on the wave. It was stable and flew over oncoming white water.
The first session was out at Metts with more of a fat rolling wave. Even though most blokes out there were on their 9 foot plus longboards, I was still able to get onto the waves easier than they could... obviously, having a paddle does have its advantages
Once on the wave, I could have just thrown the paddle away, as it really felt fast and controlled super easy from rail to rail.
Cutbacks were tight, with the ability to draw them out. Once the wave fattened out I was still able to stay with it for the reform on the inside closeout.
Nice off the top turns.
This board is true to the name "stand up paddle surfing"
The second session was out at a right hander (backhand for me). This wave has a sucky takeoff, followed by a fast section, then fattens out just before the closeout shorebreak.
The Starboard 9'0 really brought out the surfer in me. Using the speed generated from the takeoff, passing the fast section, out onto the shoulder to engaged the rail super hard and back into the foam. Pulls really nice roundhouse carves.
This board is a ripper... and by ripper I mean RIPPER! Because thats what you will be doing on this board.
It weighs 9kg's and is about 135 litres. I weigh just under 70kg's and my feet were dry. But a heavier person would also find this board floaty. Its 30" wide and super stable. Go on, get on it! You know you want to
More sessions on this board still to come... once this wind has gone... and hopefully some photos.
Great review and enthusiasm Greenroom. Are there any negatives compared to the 9'
8", is it tippier front to back going over whitewater or any other issues. I'm your weight and thought the 9'8" would be perfect but now you've confused me (easy to do). I'm renting a 9'8" from Tim at G-Spot for a week in November, really looking forward to trying it in the mornings at Corro's. And the question on everyone's lips have you tried the 9'6" Naish to compare. Also impressed with the after and before garden photo's - the garden in the first post obviously belongs to someone with completely the wrong priorities!
Nice review greeny sounds like a great board I still didnt understand why you wanted to put 130 litres of beer in it
Hey Greenroom have you tried either the 9 or 9-8 with a sail? I've heard good things about them in very light wind as big wave boards. I've sailed my 12-6 quite a bit with small sails in beachbreak waves but these guys could be really good fun in real waves. Thanks
I havent, but Windy Miller has taken the 9'8 out at Lano.
He maybe able to give you feedback? As far as I know he enjoyed it.
Ive sailed the 11'2 and was very impressed with it.
I reckon these boards will be magic on a warm, summers, afternoon of sailing
While all the other SUP boards are packed away in their sheds... we will be out on our STARBOARD's in 15knots
you can put a sail in the naishs
but your better off pulling out your kite and tearing the hell out of it instead
