Ok I think it is pretty much a gimmick designed to cash in on the SUP popularity but It's a pretty cool vid.

F-One have designed a two line kite for use with SUP's and light wind.

Agree 4.50 GOLD I think it's a great idea , I'm not a kite surfer but I'm always out on the boat with my Sups, family and friends......mmmmm got me thinking how much room do I have left in the shed.

The best part is: 10-15 knots is not enough wind to kitesurf, but pelnty enough to make me feel like a kook paddle surfing my 9'3".

I know what I'll be doing next time its sunny and 10-15kts!

Hmm I don't know that they designed it specifically for SUPs. The source has been around for at least 5 years from memory, and always as a 2 liner

I dont know anything about Kitesurfing but I've wanted to try it, I'm definitly up for that!

What sort of Kite would you start with? and why were most in the vid not using a harness

If you only want to use it with your sup, then you may as well buy the cheapest kite you can find.

2 line kites (like they are using in that video) became pretty much obsolete in 2002. I am sure you could probably buy one for about $50. (if you could find one)

They are not using a harnes because the wind is so light, so your arms would not get too tired. I am sure if you were planning on being on the water for a couple of hours, a harness would be handy!

Check the buy and sell section on seebreeze, you will find plenty.

Yeah your probably right but they are definitely marketing it as a kite to use with SUP's now.

Not a 2 line, they have very limited wind range and are quite dangerous in the hands of a beginner.

WARNING !! WARNING !!

Even if you want to go light wind kiting, do yourself a favour and get a few lessons from an established kiter / school. It's actually more dangerous than it looks.

The kites have loads of power, and you don't want to stumble across "the power zone" by accident on land....

(there's been some kiters on the SUP pages who are injured from kiting, and looking at SUP to get help them back to good health...)
