As much as many people would suggest I need them, this is not for me, I have a friend going to Hawaii tomorrow and she's keen to getting some lessons.
I am tempted to tell her to walk to the beach but seriously think she will need to get some proper lessons and am looking for suggestions from those who might know.
I did tell her to look up a dude called Laird but she saw through that plan, damn google!!!!
Thanks in advance
Thanks PTSUP
Div - Not sure where in Hawaii, guess where the plane lands form Sydney not sure they would be venturing out of te tourist strip
Waikiki ?
That's the main strip and where 90% of tourists go....
Just tell them to head for the Duke statue at Queens and look for the hire guys as they also do lessons - happy days.
If in Waikiki, Faith Surf School run by Tony & Tammy Moniz. They operate out of the front of the Sheraton Waikiki.
SUP lessons in Hawaii and hire aren't cheap. It's about $65.00 US along Waikiki beach for a lesson.
I had a surf lesson with a crew on the South Eastern end of the beach and they take out where there's not so many people in the water. I can't remember what the name of the SUP/Surf school was called - it's a persons name - it's on the corner of the Esplanade and the park where the zoo is. It's easy to find - a local waterman recommended it to me. They do SUP lessons too.
Just remembered Hans Hedemann. You can google him.
