Mike I reckon if you trade the 9'8 for a psh you will be half a chance at the heli yourself!
That looks like Kihei on the west side of Maui.La Haina is around that point by the look.Apparently it gets real good in about a months time

That's crap. They can't even keep the board going in a straight line!

The kid's about 4' tall and so the keep it proportional get yourself an 18' by 40" board and see how you go.

As Gorgo said, you need to be shorter & I'd need to knock at least 20kg off my 73kg frame, but I reckon that big wide nose on my 9'8" might get me halfway there! Those waves looked just like the stuff we've been riding all week . But like Noah, we still had fun

Wow thanks for posting that vid of my son here. The video was shot on the Lahaina side of the island. I suck at videoing but we love SUP. Oh and he is 5'6 and growing. Anyone that visits Maui give a holla.

Lahaina side gets the summer swell from May thru September. The north shore is october thru february mostly. It's hard to video when it is big because I get excited and Sup...lol...As far as the carveboard we just started 3 weeks ago and it is the best land training out there that we have found. Builds stronger legs and teaches rail to rail surfing. The helicopters is fun in crappy conditions but nothing better than ful rail Suping. Next time you or anyone visits I've me a holla.

Aloha

Byron
