Looking like a great day for a race in Pittwater. It will probably be the last of the circuit type races in the series. The rest are likely to be downwinders if the weather co-operates.
As one of the major sponsors for the series, STARBOARD will again be having a an expo tent with demo boards & paddles to try out.
Call Sam at Windsurfnsnow if you are desperate for a race board. I am sure he could help you sort something out.
This race has been going for 6 years and has a real carnival atmostphere. The most prizes I have see at a race due to heaps of loyal sponsors.
Remember, you need to do 3 races (including the 20 Beaches) to be in the draw for the major prize of a trip to do the Doctor in Perth and a Starboard Race Board to do it on. Pretty good odds I reckon.

Great race today. Had about 18 SUPs doing the 8km course around Lion Island. There was a bit of movement amongst the top 7 or 8. Clearly some secret training sessions have been going on. So here are the results as far as I know them:
Sam Parker (Starboard Ace)
Andy Davies (naish Jav)
Pete Meyer - the secret trainer (naish 17)
Steve Morrisson - (SIC 12'6)
Dave Kissane (Starboard 12'6)
Pete Morgan (Starboard 14 OO)
Brad Gaul (Starboard 12'6)
Not sure about the rest at this stage...
And, yes, that is the Brad Gaul who finished a close second in the paddleboard to Jamie Mitchell at Molokai in July this year. He's pretty keen to see how far he can go with SUP but still wants to go one better at Molokai next year....
