Check this out.. I guess it might be good for those who can't paddle all year round and want to stay SUP fit.

Is that cord attached to something? I couldn't quite work out what he's selling.

PS. Insert some criticism of pimping here.

US $189.95* for the stick

wonder of you couldn't achieve the same with a broomstick and a couple of loops of bungee cord from bunnings?

(*and another hundy or so each for the cushion and board...)

edit: AND he's pulling way too far past his feet

The Rip is a stick with a bungy cord. Not too sure that would be good as a paddling trainer. You would be getting used to your paddle recoiling on the bungy.

I like the idea of exercising on the Indo board with the big cushion under it. Maybe do the exercises with a stick with some light weights taped onto the end.

those indo boards are hard to get use to. have down hill skating mates who use it to strengthen there legs.and core.balance. they can do wild tricks on them as well...... .i cant bloody pimps, dont need a leg rope on it either

Go to bunnings and buy the following:
1 x PVC piping
1 x PVC piping T connection
1 x D bolt
Put all this stuff together.

From the fitness shop purchase:

1 fitness band
1 dura disc
1 dura disc board

And you have the same thing without the brand name and the price tag. Been working well for over two years for me.

Not so sure about that. I reckon I'm not the only one who thought it looked kind of dangerous balancing on that Indo watchamacallit with gym gear /balance beams or whatever very nearby. If he came off the board he could easily hit his head and knock himself out. Not to mention what might have happened to the board, especially if a kid happened to walk into the room at that exact moment. Irresponsible imho.

I'm new to SUP (and obviously new to this forum), cheap, and can only get on the water a couple days a week. I wanted something to help mostly with my leg strength and saw this video awhile back. Didn't want to part with all the money for the whole kit, so I bought the gigante cushion and a rip trainer bunjee for under $100. Made the rest with plywood and a piece of closet pole. It works great for me!

This is a great place for a rookie like me to learn this SUP business, thanks.
