13th beach sounds a bit unlucky.

Can't we make it 12th or 14th beach..

If yesterdays session was a lead up, the crew are charging and there is also an aerial act or 2 kicking around .

Will be great to see everyone mix it up in the tag team ( all surfers are mixed in together in 4 or so teams to even out the skill levels and allow everyone to compete in a friendly atmosphere) the new comers will be getting some pointers from the guys and girls that rip after all the whole team has to work together to succeed.

If you want to improve your freestyle SUPing there will be plenty on hand to help out.

Its your time to shine in the Expression Session so must a big move, cross step to the nose, drop knee, sole arch, tamdem SUP, head stands, just show everyone your A game.

Girls don't forget to hit Kristi or Chris, Matt, etc up for some tips we really want to add to the depth of junior girls and womens SUPers.

Looking forward to the bop should be shoot!

Roll on the 25th

It would be great to have the BBQ fired up but it's also lots more work to do for all... on top of ensuring the day runs smoothly, unless there was a group of people willing to step up and cook the BBQ with all the necessary food handling requirements covered.....pub sounds good

Good spot for a comp! Beach break with a little bit of power, usually offering both lefts and rights. Winds mostly favorable this time of year on the west coast. Can't wait!!!

We don't have permits for a BBQ - not impossible to get I imagine, but if everyone else is good with pub grub, I reckon that would be a great way to end the day. We can aim to do a BBQ next time.

The other morning the cops had a Booz Bus set up right where I park to paddle at St Kilda and one of the cop cars that was parked up on the nature strip and it had the boot open and they had a barbie in the boot cooking sausages for the cops for breakie.. I asked how much for a sausage as I walked past with my board and paddle.. I just got the look.. I wonder if they had a permit..

Should be fun

First up, great job guys!
Stepping up and putting it on the line for the good of the Vicco SUP fraternity is a bloody admirable effort. I really hope this takes root and becomes every bit as big as it deserves to be!
Second, I'm probably a bit slow and missed this somewhere in the mix, but do I need to be a member of SUP Vic to enter. If so, where do I sign.
Thirdly, without putting the cart before the horse and these things change on a daily basis but......current swell forecast is for 3.2 metres with a moderate nor west to west wind. That's fairly freakin epic conditions for signies....... talking ten foot plus!
I'm with Mick on this one. Can't wait to see the BOP go off in that!!!
Cheers

Hi Sparks,

We know about the swell, we have a couple of options and we wont be running a BOP in 10ft low tide Signies I assure you. Well unless you cross our palms with enough silver anyway.

If you asked me to list all the things that might be a challenge 10ft with near perfect offshore wasn't even on my list.

Hey Sparks,

Good to see you jumping on board. In your opinion, where would you hold it with a swell like that?

Jeez Chris
I can think of any number of mysto spots that would fire at that size. Lets hope it doesn't get to that, but the far end of Thirteenth up near the sewerage works (Point Poop) would be firing in those conditions. Apart from that in reverse order, Cosie Corner, Fishos, RAAFs and then work your way back inside the Heads and on that score I could say......but I wont!
Phil, at ten foot you could jump off your board and run across the reef introduce yourself to an abolone and shake hands with a cray.....then......reminds me of the old gag "Whats the last thing that go's through a moths mind when it hits your windscreen?.....It's arse!!"
Cheers

Paying online creates all sorts of headaches especially if conditions require postponements or the like so we want people to pre-register so we know numbers and contact details but you still need to sign indemnity in the day so it's easier to pay on the day.

If you haven't entered this Autumn West Coast Classic, you had better get your farrk'n asses into gear, mind you, some the surfers that have entered are arguably the best that Victoria has to offer, but there are a few more surf mongrels that come to mind on the Peninsula, Surf Coast and the lads down south that are required to attend, you know who you are....

the conditions are shaping up to be farrk'n all time
