The PENETRATOR....Check it out..

Has anyone here had a go on one of these?

Looks like a beast.
Distance is SUP is going to be huge. Naish have a 12' distance board coming out later this year, this promises to be a very good board. Designer and Product Manager Michi Schweiger participates in a lot of ocean paddleing events including the Molokai - Oahu race. So I am sure the Naish 12'er will be a force to be reckoned with in the SUP Racing market.

they are the fastest board on the market for distance in my opinion at the moment.
Woogie won the Noosa 22km Marathon in March this year on the penetrator.
They are even doing carbon fibre rails on some models at the moment and have the weight down around the 11-12kg mark. seemed to paddle a lot fasster than the C4 vortice, although is slightly trickier to keep in a straight lines in big swells or side winds. We have a demo in Noosa if anyone wants to check them out and have a paddle, just send us an email.
ROYYYYYYYY.............
I never thought you would make it to this forum!!!!
good to see your interested in SUPS now.
I saw some of your questions about them on Swaylocks.
If you have any questions about them, just ask....
Sounds like you could even have a go on your 17 footer if its wide enough.
The penetrator is 27-28 inches wide.
It is super stable. When you first jump on it it feels tippier than a normal SUP, but that is due to the hull shaped bottom. BUT it is actually a lot more stable than a normal SUP due to the volume of the board and speed you can achieve. The bottom shape also equalizes a lot faster when you get off balance - it only tips so far, so its rocks more from side to side i guess. Its hard to describe but its definitely really stable.
With these boards you can ride unbroken waves for 500m+ in the open ocean .
It really is an amazing experience when the conditions are right.
