I bags that Chris from SupClub can't race! He's kicked our arse in every race so far. He has the inside edge!!!
i think he is away on a training camp
Just wondering if you guys wouldn't mind organising your next event for a time when I am in the country?
Well, what a morning it was! Glassy conditions but bitterly cold for the first ever SUP race on the Yarra River! 11 brave souls made the journey down to Boathouse Drive this morning for the 5km paddle from the CBD down to Melbourne High School and back.
A magnificent paddle that took participants past the Botanical Gardens, the mighty MCG, the new AAMI Rugby/Soccer Stadium (nicknamed the Bee Hive - see photos below), Rod Laver Arena and Birrarung Marr.
A big thank-you to Phill Page, Kristi and Nicki who made the trek down from Geelong - a great effort.
Congratulations to Jarad Kohlar for taking out the event, with Con Toronis in second (despite battling the flu) and Emma Morris coming in third place and being the first woman over the line! First in the social class was Matt Symonds.

Well it was a little chilly but the die hards turned out and warmed up with hot chocolates whilst waiting for the race to start.
The location is all time and the views of the cityscape are majestic to say the least.
Thanks to the SUP HQ crew for holding the event it was a lot of fun.
Congrates to Emma who came home in 3rd, I believe the guys times were reduced by her pushing them the whole way smokin effort.
My suggestion for next time is a BBQ lunch afterward.
Phill
Looks like a great Event! Scenery couldnt get much better than that!!
WELL DONE to Jarad for coming first on the Stealthy 12'6" Sunny King Racer..
