The monthly paddle or race depending on what you want out of it. Using the Canning Bridge Rowing course in Mt Pleasant, participants will nominate the time they think it will take them to do the 4.2km loop.
Race it, paddle it, cruise it, whatever you like - you just can't wear a timing device, stop or go backwards.
The winner is the person closest to their nominated time. T
here will also be prizes for the most improved time from month to month. Additionally we will have a leader board for the fastest times as a comparison to the other 4.2km time trials done around Australia.
Where - Deep Water Point at Canning Bridge
When - Sunday 6th of October
Time - 0730 (Race Start) 0715 (Registration)
Cost - Free!
Board length - any size you like, just figure out what time you'll do

You must submit your nominated time & Board length to Ian Lane - ianlane@iinet.net.au before 9am Saturday the 5th to enter the PaddleLoop.
If you just want to record a fast time you can turn up on the day. Great opportunity to meet everyone and get involved in this fantastic sport on a beautiful part of our river. Good for the kids too!
All Fun, All Free and All Welcome!

Good to see some new faces, well done to the guys and girls that did the course on the surf boards - great effort!
Here is the PB Board, we have extended the course to 4.2km so you can compare to the east coast times. The original times for 4.18 are still there. Note - there was a 12kt headwind for the last PaddleLoop

What do you think get rid of the 4.18 times keep it all the same as the other states. And that means Ben has to try and get that time on his falcon now

Not happy that I couldn't make the last paddle loop and will do my best to get to one soon, but I wanna know how you came up with the 12kt head wind.....it's a loop, I'd like to think you got a 12kt tailwind.

Nuh seriously times were a lot slower across the board so it was obviously much tougher e.g. Greg was about 2 minutes slower than his best time, Stimo you were less than 2 minutes behind my time so I think when we can both get there on the same day it's gunna be game on.

DC vs DC, young not quite as old vs old slightly older.

Quite right Tightie. Should read 12kt head/tail wind. Good effort by Chris to improve his time.
Next Loop is the weekend before the Nationals. Next event is the Dale Chapman SUP5000 on the 27th of October. Details posted tomorrow.
