The six race Harbour Series wrapped up last weekend with the final race in windy, choppy conditions on the Pittwater. The series primarily caters for Skis and Kayaks; however SUPs, Prone Paddle Boards and OCs have their own divisions. The SUP category was hotly contested throughout the series with four different winners of individual races over the course of the competition. Paddling Clubs from Lake Macquarie down to Cronulla hosted events in support of the series.
Here are some shots taken through out the series;
Well done with your results in the Harbour Series mate. Word on the street is the guys from High Country SUP are the ones to beat! The Shaka's Smile must have scared back the pack !

Big effort,the harbour is a tough race venue.
We only attended 1 race of the series but we were super impressed
with the organisational skills of the guys running it.
Anyone thinking about running an event would really be doing themselves
a favour by attending these races.They are run smoothly,efficiently
and have a professional yet friendly vibe.
This is a difficult mix to get right but they have nailed it.
As a bonus racing on Sydney Harbour is spectacular.Being country bumkins
paddling around on such a busy waterway is a pleasant change.
Mel and I really would encourage anyone wanting to do more racing to do this series.
Yep it was me alright Phill,I had just punched out a 2km sprint into a howling southerly
hence my less than usual superfit buff appearance
Jason
Thanks Pete and Jason
I will keep everyone posted on the next series - Dez Blachfield from BLAST Paddlers set up the original Harbour Series and he has plans for more events like this in the future - which have SUP at the core.
Last few shots of the boys paddling hard:
