We are having a get together fun paddle this coming Saturday 24th mid afternoon.
The wind at this stage looks like it will be a moderate NE'er so Gunnamatta Bay across Port Hacking to Bonny Vale / Bundeena looks a good bet at this stage.
I'd love to hear some views BUT I'm thinking of parking at Bonny Vale, paddling around to the Bundeena Ferry wharf, catching the Ferry across to Cronulla with my board and then doing the run back across rather than the 40 minute drive each way......I'll make enquiries with the Ferry Service to ensure that is a possibility for several of us.
So, at this stage, starting point will be Gunnamatta Park Pavillion Cronulla (next to the Swimming Pool & Kiosk) and for those coming from the Shire, you can either Ferry it back across at the end or I'm sure a couple of us could give you a lift back out of The Natio and nack to the Shire.
Thoughts from others and expressions of interest sought. It should be a fun afternoon with the crew.
I'm in ,if it's around 2pm .
Like those photo's mate ...... how about a downwinder from Boat Harbour to Cronulla ?????????
Boylos
Downwinder from Vooey (easy access via car to drop off) to Cronulla (South Cronulla Beach) is a must on my list this year.....also Bundeena to South Cronulla in a southerly.
2pm kick off Saturday is ON bro. Should be fun fun fun.
I hope some others hop on the boat for a casual Bay Run this week.
Further the earlier posts.
I've spoken to the Ferry Service;
cronullaferries.com.au/
The Driver has agreed to take approx. 3 of us over on the 1pm Service and will find room for our boards as required......I suggested we may have 1 or 2 more and they'll do their best to accomodate us so I assume Jappy, Lou and I would be the first 3 and others maybe should PM me or post here if they have thoughts of coming over to Cronulla from Bundeena via Ferry.
The Ferry leaves Bundeena at 1pm for a 1.30pm Cronulla arrival so we can meet others at the Gunnamatta Baths at Cronulla.
Gunnamatta Baths Cronulla Below;
What a bummer, I am away for the next couple of week ends so will miss out
I think a downwinder from Boat Harbour would be ideal if anyone has a pass, or its $18 or $20 for a day pass then paddling to Bonny Vale
Going from Voodoo can be a bit sketchy, well my board is too heavy to carry that far from the car park to the water
Been out of the sup with elbow injuries so should be back mid November I hope
Have fun, it will be a good paddle
All packed and ready to go guys ..... see you all at 2pm at Gunnamatta Park ....
can't wait .... at least it isn't raining !
