Having been a whitewater paddler (Slalom C1) for about 12 years in the 70s and 80s that looks very awkward compared to a whitewater C1. Each to his own I guess.

What a great run in that C1 ,were there any penalties at all?

Don't know, but Robin Bell is an Aussie who was 2005 World Champ and won Bronze at the 2008 Olympics - doesn't get much recognition unfortunately as it is such a small sport in OZ.

Knees, Drewsta. Mine were starting to play up towards the end and I was only 22. We also used to strap ourselves in with modified seatbelts Ya didn't come out in a hurry
