I cant give too much away but after the success of some of the more radical race board shapes lately a secret sponsor we can only refer to as "RAN" at this stage approched Nesha to test 2 prototypes. A potential race board that RAN says will literally blow the competition away and a touring board that is amied squarely at the unlimited market.
In testing the race board has been difficult for the test riders to handle the loading into the tube and the initial acceleration has left some wanting. RAN says all this will be rectified in the new ICBM version which will have a massive impact on the global market when its launched.
Mark 1 Torpeedo race board

The second shape is aimed at the touring market, RAN after watching DJs GO PRO vids said they wanted to up the anti with a new improved more stable platform allowing for more cameras and angles including full 3D capture including a DOP, Best Boy, Grips and Post facilities on the board.
It is envisaged to minimise production costs the whole board including the production team and the CNC machine facility will be mounted inside the prototype to lower overheads. This prototpe will then steam from race to race, where local team riders will be able to lock out the rudder mechanism and paddle it like a standard board.
When asked if they were concerned about entering the unlimited market RAN replied that the Molakia race was their key focus.
A spokesman from RAN said that whilst initial production will be in Australia, the facilities may be taken offshore at anytime.
Nesha's feedback was that the platform was indeed stable, however paddle length was a concern.
When Nesha raises concerns about board weight, RAN pointed out the 800 handles positioned around the board and confirmed that each one included the easy grip finger moulding.
RAN are also offering the Mack Heavy Haulage pack with this board as a bundle in direct competition with SUP Wheels.
Pages / Mortons marquees are said to be providing board bags at an additional cost.
No fixed fin option is available for this board.
Transport Victoria have confirmed that due to the inclusion of 3 RIBs and a fully trained SAS rescue team a PFD will not be required for races less than 400m from shore.
RAN have stated that getting out in a 10ft shorey at the 12 Towers race will not be a concern with the new nose shape.
Ins and Outs Video taken off Currumbin this morning!
Kristi better watch out, little sister looks like she's got some form (although she's looking down at the nose of the 300 footer - better correct that).
Thanks guys I too was concerned with whether the Ran Stealth has sufficient volume, but with some quick clacs a SIC 17.4 is about 370l and the stealth is circa 280 tons displacement which equates to 277505.096602 litres which should be enough to safely cater to most needs.
Phill
Hot off the press RAN after discussions with Nesha and a long night in the shaping shed / dockyard fuelled by a couple of 205 L drums of red bull and 4 - 500 mars bars have decided that this new narrower lower volume B11 race version is the go.
Apparently Admiral Laceys Lane has put the Torpedo and Stealth up in the buy and sell section in favour of the new release.
Good fun Phill - nice post mate .... hope the Grom is progressing too by the way , be nice to see Neesh make some of her own limelight soon as she can
cheers to you all
Admiral Lacey was very direct about his requirements for balancing the board on the BBQ for the shoot which was almost impossible due to physical size.
I believe RAN are working with a tri fin set up MRTXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXs and a Glyde 144 inch centre fin.
But this has not been confirmed
