I was out for a paddle at Newport Reef (Syd. N Beaches) this morning and out paddles Simon Anderson and a coupla' mates. He looked to be on one of his new designs.

Was pretty stoked to be out there paddling with a surfing legend-he rips on a SUP too.

There looked to be a couple of photographers on the beach with him-so you may see some photos turn up.

Disclosure: I own dozens of thrusters.

We were playing on a few boards, 9.0 x 32 custom, 96 x 30, 10.0 x 32, 106 x 30 custom, and 11.0 custom. Will post a few piccies later :-). Waves and conditions actually improved quite a bit as the tide rolled out.

Nah mate-it was Simon not TC (or Stretch)-Simon's a gentleman, TC and Stretch, whilst perhaps still gentlemen, can't help themselves-they're hard wired to drop in.

Yeah I know He dropped in on me a couple of times about 25 years ago out at Monawatu.. i have a vivid memory of when respected people drop in on you.. He was there when i was picking my new board up on saturday and i gave him a little ribbing about it Mind you after living at whaley for about 6 years. i have been dropped in on by the best of them. I always found it was the little unknown wannabe pros who were the worst..

Casso-Neil's not on here too much (more work to do than me)-it's Red Dog with Neil in the last goofy shot (pretty sure that's right).

Nice backhand bottom turn Neil - best shot of the group. Looks like you were outsurfing the master!
