Took these a few weekends ago when the weather was great in Melb. The Yarra River in all its splendor! Some parts of the river this week are about to flood after this weekends rain.

Paddling up to Birrarung Marr

Birrarung Marr (aboriginal term meaning 'river of mist and shadows')

The mighty MCG

Passing Flinders Street Station on the left

Some interesting Art work on one of the bridges

Paddling towards Southbank with Eureka Tower on the left and the Rialto building on the right

Some other paddlers on the water!

View towards the CBD, you can see the yellow building with the clock marking Flinders Street Railway Station

In front of The Aquarium

Underneath Melbourne's oldest bridge - 1888

The Art Centre on the left. End of journey!

Great pictures Mike.. It looks like it was a nice day..

The water colour doesn't quite look the same as we had in Merimbula..

Mike.. Here's my vid that I took a few weeks ago paddling on the Yarra (just in case you missed it)

Nice pics. How lucky are we that we are allowed to paddle on our river without being hassled by authorities a la London and Paris.
