Just back from south coast NSW... and saw that Camo Hosk was asking about Pambula. Here a few pics from two days ago, late in the day. No SUP action in the photos, as I was the only stroker around and was behind the camera.
Went out shortly after these photos, for a dusk session, and hooked into some good ones. Unfortunately on my last wave decided to ride it into the closeout and ended up being slammed down on my fins, on my back. Board must have flipped and I came down with the lip. Ouch!
Next morning was feeling pretty sore, but Merimbula Bar was firing so had 2 1/2 hours mid morning (together with 20 of my closest friends, lol - no other stand-ups out), but have been paying for it ever since. Had to pull the pin on the trip, leaving beautiful weather and the Bar still working, as I think I may well have joined Phill and others on the broken ribs casualty list. About to go get some x-rays to see what the damage is. Really hoping no breaks, as I am going to go insane if I can't get some water time over the next few weeks, with late Feb and March being the best surfing time in Vicco IMO.
Hi Ross
Wow pambula is cranking some of the best photo's I have seen there for a long time, your session
must have been epic apart from the close out.
Best wishes Ross and hope it's nothing serious and thanks for posting the pics .hope we score waves like this at the 30th Mambo.
Hope to see you for some waves soon.
Rich

Hi Rosco,
Sorry to hear about the trip over the falls and having to cut the adventure short. I hope you have not done the ribs as it can be a really long recovery.
I surfed yesterday on my shortboard sup for 2-3 hours and woke up this morning looking for a nursing home to check into. I guess it must be 6+ months down the track and they are still giving me curry.
Great photos how did the board perform in the hollow waves?
Fast recovery Rosco!
Phill

would have been good to run into each other up there without knowing we had the same plans, will get in contact next time,
heal quick,
