Short downwinder in poor conditions today, from Pt Cartwright to Cottontree. Very choppy with underlying easterly swell but off shore wind chop form a SW offshore wind. All on 14' boards, as you can see from the photos an almost exclusive Starboard line up. Pity GoPro didn't work.
I found my Ace 27" AST was surprising stable, but hard to keep with the younger guys on the Ace 25" carbon boards.

No Pete, I still couldn't keep up in the ocean with these guys, not a surprise after Beau told me how training you guys on the Goldie are doing. The results from all this are certainly showing as you all set the standard. I'm only ever racing against myself trying to do better and be better, also I'm having fun.

Me too
Its gotta be fun
But we'll put them on 12 1/2 footers and we'll ride the 14's to even it up

Jonno, thanks for the opportunity to demo the Coast Runner. It's a very stable board and over 8km Mooloolaba to Cotton Tree only fell off once, that's good for the first time on a new board.
Enjoyed the the glide and the board surfed in through Cotton Tree river Mouth with ease in good sized surf. Hard to decide between the many Starby race boards.
