Good luck boys.
Can't get there due work commitments.
Footnote: I picked up my PSH Hull Paddler 10'10 today so I am going surfing.

Sad that your not coming

But happy you got your PSH

Pics big fella!!!!

Cheers Greg, I was looking forward to the catch up.
Pics coming soon. Just stoked I will be getting back out there - it's been along time between drinks since my last surf.

Do we need to register with NSW Paddle ,to do this race?

Boylos

Boylos,
In a word no! BLAST supported races don't ask you to join an association or pay for a temporary membership. Your insurance, admin fees, race top, show bag, safety boats, medals/certificates and BBQ are all part of the $35. The sponsors supply the great prizes and freebies like the free hydration and supplements at every race!

The aim of the Summer Series is to spread the stoke! Made by SUPers for SUPers!

Event prize pool:
There's a stack of awesome prizes that will be given away in a lucky draw during the post race presentation, including compression sports wear from Unleash Compression, leg leashes from Coreban, wing paddle from Carbonology Australia, products from Australian Sports Nutrition (ASN) Neutral Bay, waterproof satchel and phone cases from Over-board, rudder flags from Blast, and much much more.

Series prize pool:
By participating in this event you are also awarded points depending on your place, which go towards your entry in the end of series prize draw for a SUP board from SUP Love, a SUP board from Coreban, two Outrigger paddles and two SUP paddles from Oz Standup Paddle Centers, compression garments from Unleash Compression, sport hydration and nutrition products from Australian Sports Nutrition (ASN) Neutral Bay, paddles from Carbonology Australia, waterproof phone cases and satchel bag products from Over-bard, sunglasses from Sea Specs and much much more. Please note that to qualify for the end of series prize draw you must compete in four or more events to have a total of at least 4 points or more.

Cheers mate ... looking forward to catching up it's been a while

Best sunnies ever.

I for years spent $300 plus on Oakley's every few months as I'm on the road 10 hours a day for work and sun protection is important for me driving and beach side.

I came across these about 2 years ago and am totally stoked with them and would never wear anything else.

Have 3 pairs, for all conditions and a pair for the surf - love them !

Yeh it was good to come over and hang with the crew. As breakfast ended up being at 11am, I should have had another sausage. Good job to the 2 B's :)

Yep, never far from the BBQ that lot, although when Greg stood in line with the loaf of bread in hand rather than a slice, I thought it maybe a little over the top.

For the record, 10km is a lot further than 5km and coming back at the rear of the field watching you guys eating, demo'ing boards and laughing definately had me asking WTF I'd done entering the long race on the cripple boat.

Damn fun though.

Here's a video of MY race.......thankfully I got away from the crowd at the start but man, that was hectic huh ?.......love those 'all in' starts though.

Huh i was been ever so polite and handing the bread out to all and sundry just ask Bernie I left him with the sausages he's an expert ya know.

Any thoughts otherwise will cause me to cut all the pics of you falling out of your oversizedSUPwithanextraarm.com and post them in the outrigger forum..........

Thanks to all those who came and shared the stoke yesterday at Rose Bay! What a great atmosphere and there was some real talent on show! Great job to Pete Morgan on his 14' Ace; lightening fast to finish first SUP home. Well done to Brad Smith second home, but first 12'6; cracking!

Thanks to all who trekked to get there; from the Northern Beaches to the Shire, well done, great effort. Great video Chris ... but hope to see you back on the SUP again soon!

The momentum is really building with these races, more SUPers coming out of the woodwork and plenty of first timers giving the 2.5km a crack.

Great people, good times, show bags, free product to sample and demo, free BBQ and HEAPS of prizes! Four more races to go. Pictures soon!

I had to race the SUP's on the OC as it's the only time I'll feel that feeling of being infront of the pack and actually beating Dreghorn off the start line.

As for Pete Morgan, he actually went straight past me which showed me how bad I am on the outrigger and how good he is on the Ace.....

Great day - that's to be expected - I'll be on the SUP next race, now crossed that off my 'to do' list.....back to the back of the SUP back in January.

Who's that bloke at the back on the yellow board ?

Thank god he had a killer paddle with him - bahaha.

Geez - the one and only 14/25 Starby Ace in Sydney is working overtime. 20Bs on Saturday / Summer series Sunday. That board has won virtually every race this season.

Sh-t that looks like hard work on that OC Chris. Great effort on the 10K. Safe to say you will be back on the white USS Missouri (sometimes referred to as a Starboard) at Ironcove Australia Day rather then the OC ?

See you guys at Iron cove on Australia Day - or sooner.
I took the easy option of a last minute call up to a Sydney Harbour cruise on saturday night and couldn't make Rose bay.
You may be 1 up in the 14ft class supanimal but I am coming back on OZ day to even the score - or try anyway.

Here's my vid from Balmoral race.
