Hi all.

With the long sabbatical the Sunshine Coast SUP Club is kicking off again with a surf comp and expression session at the Maroochydore River Mouth on Sunday 22nd of August at 8:30am. The club is now fully affiliated, incorporated and insured, with a team that is keen to make it an enjoyable time for the whole family

All members and those wishing to join are encouraged to come along. There will be prizes for the overall winners plus other prizes for best wave, best wipeout, longest ride etc.

Come and enjoy the day with like minded people.

Prizes and program will be announced closer to the day

If you are up for the paddle with Mooloolaba Outriggers on the Saturday and are staying on the coast for the weekend feel free to come along and join in.

For non members the day will cost $10 to cover insurance.

Cheers
Swanie

Just come right down to the river mouth. Best parking is down near the boat shed restaurant of north of the surf club next to the caravan park.

It does look great.

The next 12 months might have me looking at a Kite as well. Don't tell the wife.

When are we going to get you away from Bikram for a Sunday Paddle

Sorry Swanie , Kramer and I grabbed a 14 ft naish from the shop on Sat Morn and put it up against my DC 12'6" in the M/Dore River, very nice boards.Hard to tell how fast it was because we left the plastic fin guard on {dmb&dumber
Will definitely join for a paddle but I've got the wedding car hire business that took up last Weekend and the yoga on Sunday Arvo gets you ready for another week of endless offshores , 4" south Swells and perfect A frame banks at Kawana.

PT: are you working on Wednesday. I have the day off (thanks to all you tax payers helping out us teachers ). It could be a pearla. Just have the lunch time interruption getting my tax done.

The 14' Naish is great in the ocean. In the river I would stand a long way forward to counteract the rocker. Naish is doing a new flat water board in the 14'. 1 of each would be the go.

I am looking forward to trying the new 9' Hokua. I heard it is out in September.

Are you coming to the Comp Day??

If the accountant works fast I will see you there.
Are you thinking of a flat water paddle or a surf at access 5 or Carties.

Few more lads just signed up today. Its going to be a fun first meet, sounds like everyone is keen on the mini surf comp.

We will split it up into heats depending on skill level and time you have been paddling for. So this way you will be competing against crew around your own level.
Its only for fun at this stage and like Swanie said there will be prizes getting dished out for all types of achievments.

All other ideas are welcome.

Looking forward to seeing some old and some new faces there at the first meet.

If any one wants any more info or would like to pre join before the day please pop in and see me I have all the forms here at the shop.

Luke
