I'm so confused.

Blast 'Summer Series' were meant to be holding this exact event this coming Sunday, then changed to Saturday due to an event clash on the Sunday, then it was cancelled due to a 'sponsor clash' or something similar.

Now, it's back on, same logo, same name but different sponsor (albeit a Blast Summer Series sponsor) but not as Event 2 in the Summer Series.

Folks, this is like the 4 different Australian Titles....and really very confusing.

WTF ?

Hey Stuey. Looks like a great event and would love to do all the races. Unfortunately, it is on the same day as the Manly Oceanseries race. Such a bummer as it is a real nice area to paddle. Good luck with it. Dave

Its awesome to see tonnes of races happening.
Is there anyway there can be a "calendar keeper" so events don't cross over.

I'd love to do them all but as i'm in the Ocean Series i cant.

This event runs every year mate. I think the summer series had it as "apart" of there series, and for whatever reason it was dropped off there calender. The summer series still has some great events on their calender.

The event was never cancelled, and I am pretty sure from the updates about it the date has not changed recently.

It is a great event for a very worthy cause, and proceeds go to the Sydney Children's Hospital. So if your not locked into the ocean series, I would encourage anyone to get along to it.

As I gather, Blast was like a Co-agent on BBP, sort of piggy backed off an existing event, then theres some muck up with sponsors.........so Blast pulls out, its stil on and I'm still going

Thanks Pete you are always so solidly behind all paddling events.

There is a great local charity benefiting from support of this event. The Suplove Bondi Beach Sprint at 2km is a race for everyone everywhere. At local level we sponsor Sydney and Sutherland paddle clubs. Come and join in the fun.

Bring on a summers day, lotsa paddlers and some big smiles.

Stuart

Hey Stu, will you have any boards there for people to paddle on for the 2km SUPLOVE race. A few of the girls are keen on doing the race and were just asking ?

What a classic day. Racing at Bondi is truly one of the classic venues in my experience. Down wind, flatwater, bombys and prize giving at icebergs in the afternoon sun ... Awesome day. I will get results posted up soon for everyone ...

My apologies for not getting there Stu. The weather and swell put the girls off understandably. I am glad it went well mate...

The Suplove Bondi Beach Sprint was run in a BOP style and had a phenominal photo-like finish in the mens with the lead changing on the last wave. Bondi really has a special feel to it for racing. Pete as we know thats the way the ocean rolls sometimes. Such is life. See you all next year.
