Ok this is a surf site and a great one but there is more to the surfing lifestyle than surf.

How about some videos of great music you listen to before a surf,

And a video of the friend you leave on the beach that frets and stares out to sea until you return.

I'll start with some great polka music,

Really! You havn't tried polka and surfing?

Mate where were you in the fifties?

hey elbebu,

are you selling the drugs you are on?

This is the weirdest post I've ever seen... I'm not saying that it's bad, just unusual.

I always felt stand up people were eccentric, but you have definitely plumbed new uncharted territory of bad taste with this post.

Well done!!!

alright you got me ranting now....

Here is one of my favorite stars .... It's an infomercial... I hope you enjoy it. These guys are the fifth best cover band in the country.

Thanks Elbeu for allowing me to expose this raw aussie talent that has absolutely nothing to do with supping.

Went Supping for the first time yesterday, came over here to find some clues about how to dip the oar? What's going on? Where's that band from??

Thats the spirit Ian. As the "brothers" would say. " Both types of music. Country and western.

The band at the top is from Finland I think where they have more bands than you can "polka" stick at!

DJ and I talked today about this post and how we laughed about it... He asked me today what I liked and I was lost for words, here's some of what I love listening too.

I love the Doors LA Woman album, enjoyed them for years:

and then there's Ben Harper, on a hot summer night when I'm feeling a bit melancholy

and then there's Basement Jaxx, I love everything these guys do:

But jee I love Al Green, the mad preacher, for the shivers his music always sends up my spine:

And Johnny Cash, I'll always love his music, really love his last album especially this track. He died a few months after this album - I believe he died from a broken heart.

Really enjoy listening to Regina Spektor at the moment:

I could go on and on. So little time so much to choose from.

With my own two hands

I open the Doors and invite in love and happiness,

then I feel better, Romeo.. even with no Cash.

Nice...... especially Regina

Pre surf in the 60's we usually listened to Led Zep, or Blind Faith etc but in retrospect the BB's are cool

And of course the Beatles

Then The Beats
I offer this as evidence of the heights reached by backup dancers in the 60's

Then out at Scarborough on our 6'6'' Cordingly's.
Followed by hot chips for 20 cents a bag and a small coke for 6 pence (5 cents). The return on a small Coke bottle was 2 pennies ( 2 cents) so if you found 3 empty bottles you could get a full one.
Large Coke bottles payed 6 pence (5 cents) so you only needed 4 for a feed of chips. Most people couldn't be bothered taking their bottles back to the shop so it was a smorgasbord most days.
