Surfed the Severn Bore last week, what a scream, jumped in and caught the wave, then drove to the next spot and caught it again (3 times). What a scream, highly recommended, especially for SUP's.... just watch the low hanging branches..& the odd dead cow floating by. The only problem is there is 1 wave, sucks if you happen to miss it or fall off.
Seen plenty of photos of this but never a video of this event.
How often does this occur?
Looks cold by the amount of rubber you are wearing.
Great footage.
Off to put my boardies and wetshirt on for a surf.

Thats classic Gareth, how's all the crew that miss it after waiting for god knows how long in freezing water. Looks hectic when you get boxed in near the shoreline near the trees
Thanks for posting - great vid!!
Yeah I agree the large volume of the SUP looks the ticket. Whats the drop in rule on the Severn ? Could not work it out ha ha ha ha
Looks great.. except for the cold.. and the brown water.. and the trees.. and the only one wave bit.. .. Is that back wash at the end?
I heard to get this wave they have to get all the houses upstream to flush their toilets at the same time? ..

Hows the guys that miss it at the start, just paddle back in, hahahahaha gold!
Loved the gloves on the boogie boarder! webbing oh yeah!
WOW!! That looked like soooo much fun.. I am spewing I live on the mid north coast and have to put up with perfect uncrowded waves when i could be surfing that.. [}:)]
thats cool looks fun
cant believe the guys who miss it that would suck sitting there for so long waiting and then you miss it ! heavy
imagine learning to surf on that wave
Excellent work Gareth. I thought that bridge on the second wave was a dam wall - "what are they doing?, pull out, pull out".
