Group of about 7 of us met today on the swan river at Maylands for the weekly paddle up the river.
Was my first time and after 6 pints of Guinness last night it was challenging.
The river was beautiful, sun coming up still and so very peaceful

Heres a couple of photos. I'm sure Darren will be along with a video soon.......

It was a great morning for a paddle and great to meet you Mike.
It absolutely bucketed down driving home so I reckon we picked the right time to do it.

Nice way to start the day and a great way to work off a few too many beers from last night, by the 1/2 way point I was hoping Darren had an esky of coldies back in the van.. Only down side was I felt like a nanna nap at 9 this morning..

I took a camera with me but didnt have a chance to get it out and take photos as I was too stuffed from trying to catch up to adam. PR who had a head start on the hobie was had to overtake as well, had to put a heap of effort in to rein him in. Darren left us all for dead..

Good meeting all of you and if the surfs flat hope to make it a regular session in the doctor training plan.

cheers

Sounds like fun, but way to early for me. Any other lazy paddlers out there interested in a later training paddle weekends, say 6.30, or even better 7.30!

Hi Guys,

Such a great morning for a paddle and a good turnout of willing paddlers. I threw together this quick vid of the session.

Times are approximate and were worked out by adding lap times as each paddler finished. The course is paddled at your best pace and times are kept to have something to race against the next week. Great fun and already looking forward to next week. The Fanatic 14' Red Rocket was flying today! Yew!

Thanks everyone for coming along. How about some ladies next week?

Was a great morning with great company. Good to meet you all.

Have been thinking about technique all day and paddling all over the office as I glided from room to room

That hobie was wicked would love To try her on an ocean downwinder.

Going to try and tee something up for weds if possible and will definitely be there next sat hangover free
