Will they bring the race forward for the best DW conditions to Saturday if the wind looks like best on that day ? Travis Grant is racing sup on the new NSP /dc looks fast
Don't know about swapping days but can confirm that the BOP is open to all board sizes. There will be a under 14 class and an over 14. We figured that people who are travelling wouldn't want to bring 2 boards so it would be the case that most people would be racing the BOP on 14's.
Remember today is the last day to get your entries in online for the BOP and the Duel before having to pay the late fee for on the day entry.
Hope they do not get Barney or Bruce who have frequented Dawesville and MR respectively for years without eating anyone.
Think this is Barney, cute eh :)
I must say it was frustrating to have to nominate ocean or estaury when registering, I do understand it does help the organisers plan where to put their resources on the day. Issue is that the registrations closed Wednesday and with a cyclone sitting in the north west it was always going to be tough choice. If there was some flexibility to change courses closer to race day it would of given the oportunity for all to have fun. Oh well, I've talk to the contact provide on the website with no compromise. I'll probably be qualified for doing the wrong course but at least I'll increase my chances of finishing and enjoying it.
I'll retract the last statement. The good people at registration this morning made the changes, easy enough. Cheers to the organisers
Travis Grant took it out nothing like paddling into a head wind for 14 ks local boys did well Pete Prinmore Ben Tarden the other spots good effort to all to give it ago let's all cross our fingers for a doctor sea breeze for Saturday
A few photos from the BOP race yesterday. From all reports everyone enjoyed the races and there are already plans being hatched for more regular races like this. Pete Pridemore won all three races, followed by Dale.
There were a couple of Go Pros floating around so there should be some footage coming in the next few days.
