Nice pics Hilly,

Not sure what happened to the timing system, I was 3hrs25mins, Adam Quinn was definetly in front of me, I thought you were up there too but not sure.?

Just saw this on the site:
"Due to tecnical difficulties results from overall placing 196 and on may have incorrect times.

We are trying to rectify this as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Solid effort from everyone that made it,

Matt

I was in front of Quinny he blew a shoulder I think so I must have been 3:20ish which considering I am pretty pleased with. But I think the times are all out I think I was more than 20 mins after Courts and he was 3 hrs flat. I was not that close.

Roger and Simon were just behind me but no time for them either. But if you read the numbers and take off the first digits 7&3 they get 3:40 which is more likely. So Matt that puts you after 3:40 I think your time is wrong. as well as Fernandas. But what ever not a lot we can do and I am happy to claim 3:20

Yes Rob the finish was awesome, pretty much everyone had no legs to run after covering that distance including me, i fell to my knees just after i jumped from the jetski as it hit the beach ... then to my elbows ...haha and still got the shot as you can see from the lowdown angle of the run to the finish arch.

I got video of the SUP start and up to the 1st turn marker, a few mid ocean shots and Jacko's finish.

Congratulations to all the Sup paddlers, another 10 knots and it would have been better for you guys.

Tough day but am glad I did it. It was great to meet new paddlers and other breezers such as Andy and Jacko.
I didn't have the most perfect board (Starboard 12'6" cruiser) but no excuses, gotta get more training in for next year. And as others have mentioned, when I finally came in after 4 hours and my wife saw my board next to everyone else's, she said that she couldn't believe that I made it on that thing and I need to get a new one for next year. Made the whole thing worth it
Now what to get?
I had a good chat with Dale Chapman at margs this morning and he had a sweet looking 14'. Maybe thats the go
