I'm in for both and the longer the better, happy with Ricketts but whatever suits all. This will be good!!! Just looked up StKilda to Ricketts, it's about 17 or 18 k, should be comfortably under two hours.

How are the DW paddles going?? Yesterday & Today ? Wind did not seem to come through until after dark yesterday.

Might be a whisker too much west today also.... unless you start up at Williamstown / Newport.

I think they were last seen clinging to a yellow buoy ...

I went on this mornings paddle ,we left PortMelbourne at 8.00am but the wind had dropped off to around 15 knots, DJ and Pete were on 14ft Glides,Dave on a 12'6 Pin and I was on my 17 Glide and it went really well although the others were hoping for more wind so was a bit of a mission on the smaller boards,
When we got back to the cars a storm front came through with 60 knot winds and hail at about 10.30am so we timed it well as it wouldn't of been fun out there in that,
thanks guys for helping load my board on the car in the pissing down rain,
Cheers.

See wind report below if interested.

Yesterday was great.. here's a couple of pictures from the start with Jonathan with his SurfRace, Dave with his Pin and Luke and I with 14' Naish Glides.

Today was an early one and here's a few pictures from the start.. I took some vid on both days and I'll get around to posting it soon.

Once we got to the end today Pete drove us back to our cars.. Dave climbed in to the back and had to lay on the wood that Pete had inside.

I noticed a couple of Pete's new boards that he'd just made for Kite boarding/tow surfing.. Nice or what..

Ah yes, I can see the tracks from the earthmoving equipment required to drag your monstrosities down to the beach .

Interesting. Solid laminated wood? Must be heavy.

Hey Legion,
we usually just wait for the tide to come in and then float away.

I like DJ's solution to the snapped leg rope... tie your crocs to the board and then strap yourself in.

Here's a short vid from the last two days DW'ers.

It was too much hassle picking the best bits out and I rushed making this vid.. It wasn't really that good anyway.

I'm mostly just testing different camera angles.. I had my GoPro on my bicycle helmet.
