Awesome, that is what I call innovation. Must feel weird though when it is spinning around your head trying to throw you off balance. Need to build up those neck muscles, its just like a fly buzzing around your head. Best gopro angle since the harness mount I reckon (excluding Quadcopter). I reckon they should call it Fly Eye.

Shortly after reading this post I bumped into the links below (was actually looking for rain x tips).

Two versions of the rotating head mount

One manufactured

One home made

Will leave this for now, still got to get the paddle mount sorted.

The solution DJ showed us, is another thing like all other solutions: the pole that is made to the helmet stands up almost vertical as it seems. All the other solutions you can find on youtube are made with a horizontal bar with a contraweight on it. Interested how that thing is made. May be the horizontal bar is on top of the vertical bar, must be...

Cheers, Hans.

Great footage and has that right up close and personal feel to it less most of the intrusivity of some set ups. Just love the innovation and creativity all time to see people pushing the boundaries.

With the right setup the camera not only rotates around the helmet but also can rise and fall vertically, that's what gives it the overhead look. You can get this effect using the components in the DIY instructions in this link. www.gospin360.com/diy.php

Take extra note of the how the rotate mechanism works, the pin in the shaft is what allows the vertical movement.
