Some mates and I decided to SUP and canoe paddle the Walpole and Nornalup Inlet in WA's southwest, its a great spot 5 hrs from Perth and basically a lazy fishing town for old people....
Here's our track...we camped on the beach on the inside of the inlet as it was blowing SE onshore (usually thats offshore in WA but not in Walpole!). We only did about 15km a day
here is the inlet looking west from where we camped, like glass in the early morning.
Our motley crew, breakfast drink anyone?
just cruising around and waving at crew in houseboats that dot the inlet...
The 16ft penetrator loved the conditions
Circus beach on the ocean side, big swell and breeding ground for white pointers
Beautiful colours in the rockpools fed by a spring in the rocks
Making camp on the beach
cooking up a storm of dodgy processed meat
a few beers, dinner and a fire on the beach
Everyone was happy
Def one of the best waves in Australia when its on, mainly winter.
Camped on that very beach one new years a few years ago
