How cold can it be?? At West Witterings, South of England - Water temperature is 4 degrees, air temperature is -2 degrees on a warm day.

Spare a thought for this guy getting changed into his 5mm suit, boots, gloves and rubber hat and then having to get changed in the carpark after the surf.

In a word I would have to say I am impressed......or maybe you are just stupid? he he he After living 5 long years in your country there its fair to say that I hardly ever surfed between Dec and Feb....call me a princess but the snowboard definitely won over through those months!! Although I would probably give it a crack these days if I had myself the new Rip Curl H Bomb. Have you given one of those a try ? I would love to hear any feedback on those suits......not needed here in Sydney but would make trips home to NZ in winter a touch more enjoyable!

My SB is safely tucked away in the garage until the ice melts.
Gareth, my guess is that he is grabbing whatever waves he can before hoards of SUPpers arrive on the beach in spring
I have mostly been doing this in the fields at home:

Looks like fun Roger, are you planning on attending any BSUPA events this year.

Does snow stick to surfboard wax? What about deck grip? Surfing in a blizzard would get slippery surely
