I've read a few posts about the 8'2 widepoint. So far I think it is a great small wave board, Ive surfed it in anything from 1ft to just overhead and think its such a fun board to ride, great stability for standing around even in horrible conditions. Picks up waves easily and is super fast and loose on the waves, it's so easy to slide the tail out while keeping control. I'm still improving my SUP surfing and found this a good upgrade from my last 10' SUP as I said so much fun in the smaller stuff. Just my 2 cents worth (btw I surf a 5'8 shorty so I'm into my shorter fatter boards
