How did you find catching them? I know that when I try in over 10knotts I often struggle to get on and will get blown off waves. It looks like you didn't have too much trouble.

I mustn't have the fitness but I've got a full set of hair - Yeah Yeah.

i've had 3 or 4 about the same size, some a tad smaller, some a tad larger. all around 5kg without fins.
Paddling.....well its not made to paddle...it's made to surf. The shorter they are the worse they are to paddle.

yeah yeah.....you know ive got none Olie... & that helps.....less hair resistance in the wind!
In real windy stuff its more a matter of placing yourself in the way of the wave & do a late take off, forward motion is impossible, particularly with a short sucker of a board.
The wind up the face keeps the wave vertical for much longer than normal so you dont have to be quite so critical with positioning, crouch low to reduce windage, a couple of deep strokes......& hope you get down the wave before the lip.....lips tend to get heaps thicker in a strong off shore
And they can really mess your hair up Olie...Yeah Yeah

Yeah Yeah.

Great pics LSD. I look forward to coming your way again very soon. Remind me to buy one of your paddles when we meet up - I've been wanting to get a new one for the past couple of years.
