Paul and I are going for a paddle on the Yarra Friday morning in the city.
Meeting at the Rowing Clubs for a 0630 start and an 0830 return.
Join us for some morning magic.
Alan.
Paul, Cam and I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on the Yarra this morning.
Bleary eyed before the paddle.
Cam suggested we do it in suits next time.
I need to do this one time, either night or morning would be awesome!
The suit idea is a good one. You should throw a breifcase on the front as well just to
really freak some crew out.
Here's some video of Friday morning on the Yarra. Featured is ALsUP, my friend Cam, and me right at the end.
Great job with the vid Paul.. I've done that same paddle so many times and it's amazing how much more a video offers compared to just still shots... Thanks.

Great stuff !
Thanks so much for sharing.
I can't wait to do the Yarra in a couple weeks when I'm down.
Can I have some advice ?
I'm staying in Collins St opposite Fed Square. Were would be the best place for me to go in - is there somewhere around Fed Square / Flinders St ?
And......would I head left toward Etihad Stadium / Tennis Centre or right past the restaurants and beyond for my paddle.
So, if anyone wants to do a paddle with me (DJ - we had discussed) on the mornings of Sat / Sun / Mon 20th - 22nd March - or Monday evening 22nd lemme know. It's be great to catch up.
We usually leave from the Boatsheds at Boathouse drive. Everytime I've done it there is lots of parking.
Hey guys,
Anyone up for a Yarra paddle Sunday and / or Monday morning next week ?
(21st / 22nd March).
I'll be at the boat ramp for sunrise if anyone's keen for a leisurely cruise.
Might just wait 24 hours to see what Monday's forecast suggests...
Forecast for Sunday
Partly cloudy. Isolated showers during the morning. Winds south to southwesterly averaging up to 35 km/h.
CityShower or two clearing.Min14Max20
I'm in, Tuesday to Friday at 7:30 - got this stupid craft meeting on Monday 5:30pm. We are supposed to presenting some of the craft we practice at work to others in the agency, apparently it helps everyone know how satisfied and how good we all are at what we do. Kind of like the 360 reviews everyone at our work has to do - where you are told that there are no wrong or right answers to this questionnaire - oh spare me
I don't do any craft at work. Day after day it's just: add this, change that, move this, lose that. Other than that it looks great. How long will that take you?
Oh crap, it's Monday tomorrow.
