Makorori Point of course....that's a guy on a 8'5 starboard there....all three of us early morning crew had to leave him to it....but the whole weekend has exciting surf prospects

Nice pics gizzie. It looked pretty similar down south today. The cleanest overhead swell we have had yet this year probably. Forcast is for even better tomorrow!!!

Yes, we are seeing 20 sec period waves, smaller though, on the East coast of NSW

Nice again today but smaller than the forecast. Only chest to head high (2-3ft)

Sumner beach This morning

Peaked at 10 SUPs and about another 15 short/longboarders in the lineup

Miss that spot Gizzie - great shots! Glad you are getting some, no doubt enjoying the 4/3 and booties for the early morning session though

Ah, makes me home sick, perfect lines, went out with the boys this am for a wind swept session, 2-3ft choppy as, would love the perfect lines at Gizzy. :)

Hi Ted ...late reply due to intense battles with my pc about "whose the boss" A major cause may not have been "aliens taking over my pc" as i first suspected but rather the "control" button on my keyboard stuck on...technology I love it
Had to get the gloves out too.
Towball is missing in action these days though....maybe he wakes up in the morning & wonders shall i be a sup person today & take out the naish 9'5 which he worships or his McT evo longboard that he also worships??
Two appearances on the naish as opposed to one on the evo though.

Nice picture....have visited Brighton a few times & looked at the pier.....next time I will have to look at sumner too. But hasn't been much swell each time. And Maunganaumu always has a strong attraction as a place to relax & enjoy ocean stuff :)

My favourite bit of south island coastline
.....for us north island east coast surfers maybe a little alarming in that there is very visible life in the sea....fish and lots of seals & maybe other things who think seal might be on their menu

Best not to look at the hills when surfing at kaikoura in the winter :)
