Looks ok and might work.

Should be good for shallow water and still track ok.

btw... I spent yesterday making a fin that I hope will make my 14' Jav much less tippy.

dj, this board is a proto. it has no edges. a very fast lively board. i had some troubles paddling it over whitewater.

it worked well, so much that in one surf session i reduced centre fins sizes down to the stealth 5.25".

thxs to dale for supporting me in these experiments(even if he thinks sometimes i'm half cut)

parallel. i was really worried about killing board speed and the drag factor.

has to be repainted yet

the good parts are i've got grip in the foam/whitewater and i was able to reduce centre fin size.

adapt, i didn't see any fin setup.

this is something i have wanted to try for a while. i actually put some small gl's or gx's into a dc16 a few years ago. pretty sure its this board.didn't work like this is

the fcs set comes with 4 fins- 2 small, 2 large. i've only but the small set in so far

i don't think so, but need to do some more time. i could use the bigger bonzers.

dale reckons its right as it is.

it seemed good when i was going for a hard to get wave, the bonzers seem to help with that. i thought i could power up better

they 'might' even be lifting the tall a bit!!! even thou they are straight- not toed, they do have a cant

The foot's healing ok. Needless to say my skateboarding days are finnished. Been trying not to look at the trees blowing outside all day. I meant the bucket holding up the 16' on the old ad you posted. Definitely no BBQ

The bucket and board are mine and yes the board does have the FCS inserts which I wondered about. Having said that using the board yesterday I was blown away at how good it is in side on messy chop. Pity I need to move it on for newer boards. Would love to know its history and past colour schemes. I bought it from DC and think its got a lot more life in it.

the board was originally kelly margetts, i brought it of him, alain brought it of me. i guess your the next owner. it used to be blue with carbon showing pin lines.

the old dc 16 still can have it moments. very stable and can handle the rough stuff.

a few of us have brandied around the idea to dale of modernising the shape and making the nose a planing type.

teatrea had a crack at reshaping jacko's old dc 17 nose shape to planing. i had a go on it and it worked quite well.

i think a guy from scotts head brought that 17 and stripped back the 'job' andrew did on and re did the nose professionally. no offence teatrea
